Mr. Stefan A. Haffner is a Senior Scientific Officer in the Department for European and International Cooperation in the Project Management Agency of the German Aerospace Center (DLR-PT) serving the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). He worked in several international institutions and multilateral projects towards the collaboration of Africa and Europe in the field of STI. At the moment he is involved in the EU-funded ERA-Net Cofund LEAP-Agri, the CSA LEAP4FNSSA and the RIA LEAP-RE. Based on his experiences with multilateral funding and collaboration processes, he is focussing currently on the development of a long-term strategic AU-EU Programme and Innovation Management Cycle (PIMC) model in STI. The PIMC Model facilitates the inclusive development of research and innovation agendas, and intends to improve coordination and network building, and the development of communication and learning mechanism in multilateral contexts.
